About Amy
Hello! I'm an educator dedicated to lifelong learning. I've been playing euphonium for almost 25 years. I have a bachelors degree in music education from the University of Iowa, and a masters degree in early childhood education from DePaul University. I'm a certified K-12 music and early childhood teacher in Illinois. I currently live in Chicago, teach, and play in the Wilmette Community Band.
I personalize my lessons depending on what each of my students most wants to work on with their instrument. With a strong focus on fundamentals, I help my students choose music that they'll love to play, and keep things fun and exciting- making music should be a blast!
I teach all levels of euphonium, and beginning trumpet, trombone, and tuba.
